The stones selected for the Incense Stone project were appointed with a 3mm hole to allow for the insertion of standard incense stick. This simple addition of negative space accommodates an interaction between human, mineral, and ritual. Sedimentary rock is formed when biological or geological detritus settles and accumulates through forces such as gravity or electromagnetism. Procurement of one specimen grants access to the entire Earth\Studies log from this edition of Incense Stones.
