The Earth\Studies HiHAT division submitted a requisition for a trouser with reinforced panels at the leg, and an assortment of pocketing/accessory loops suited to a variety of toolsets and tasks. The ‘Foraging Pant’ was developed in response. Students of 19th Century workwear will notice similarities to the “Double Fronts” which filtered out from industrial applications with machinists and carpenters into myriad global subcultures. Incidentally, the doubled panels at the legs provide valuable friction and protection for recreational rock climbers.
